How to choose a stylist
Hairdreams systems are offered through the brand's partner salons, whose stylists are trained in its methods. Here's how to vet one.
Checklist
- Training: ask which Hairdreams systems they're trained in (bonds, tapes, MicroLines). You can cross-check with the brand's official salon finder.
- Licensing: in New York, cosmetology is licensed by the NY Department of State. Ask to see the license.
- Consultation: expect a consultation that looks at your hair's condition, goals and lifestyle, and gives you a price.
- Portfolio: look at healed and grown-out results, not only fresh installs.
- Transparent pricing: get a written quote covering hair, application, maintenance, rebonding (if any) and removal.
- Authentic product: ask how they source the hair.
Questions to ask
- Which method would you recommend for my hair, and why?
- How many strands or tapes will I need?
- What will maintenance, move-ups and removal cost?
- Is the hair I'm buying eligible for rebonding?
- What happens if a bond or tape slips?
This is general guidance, not a recommendation of any particular stylist. We don't book appointments.
